Data Access & Polling Division Change
Strike-Off Data File Extracts
A key benefit of the introduction of technology to our election processes is the ability to provide political stakeholders such as yourselves access to information that is useful for your planning and campaigning. Much of this data will become available when voting takes place in late October but even now, we can begin to provide you with information, such as details on voters who have applied for Vote by Mail.
If your party wishes to have access to file extracts containing voter strike-off data, please contact Jennifer Colin, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer, at jennifer.colin@elections.sk.ca. These files are placed on a different FTP site than the one you use to retrieve your voters lists and your log in credentials will be different. An account will be created for your registered political party and log in information and instructions will be provided as well.
Extracts containing information about voters whose Vote by Mail (VBM) applications have been approved will be provided beginning today, Friday, September 13. VBM extracts will be produced once daily at midnight and will be placed on the SFTP site. All extracts will be cumulative. If you have questions about how to access the SFTP site, please contact Jennifer Colin.
When in-person voting takes place in October, extracts will be produced every 15 minutes and placed on this same site. This will continue through to the end of in-person voting. These extracts will only be from those constituencies that are using electronic poll books.
Online Portal
Once we enter the election period and the first day of early voting approaches, you will be able to access our online portal. The online portal will contain strike-off data for in-person voting opportunities as well as information such as overall voter turnout.
You can designate up to two individuals from your registered political party to receive access to the online portal. If you would like to have access to the online portal, please send the name(s) and email addresses to Jennifer Colin. She will also be able to answer any questions you have about the online portal.
Polling Division Change
We have made a small change to a personal care facility special poll in the constituency of Saskatoon Chief Mistawasis. Residents previously assigned to polling division M09 have been reassigned to polling division 2 and M09 has been deleted.
If you have any questions about this change, please contact Jennifer Colin at the email address shown above.
