Vote by Mail deadline February 2

Wednesday, February 2 is the deadline for voters in Athabasca to apply for a vote by mail ballot. After this deadline, no additional vote by mail applications will be accepted. Voters who choose not to vote by mail can participate by voting in person either during advance voting, February 9 to 13, or on February 15, by-election day and the last day to vote. Athabasca voters can apply online for a vote by mail ballot at votebymail.elections.sk.ca or by calling 1-833-419-0141.

Voter Information Cards in the mail

Registered voters in Athabasca should watch their mail for a voter information card. These cards were mailed out this week. They detail where and when voters can cast a ballot in person, either during advance voting or on by-election day, as well as information about how we’re making voting safer. If a voter does not receive a voter card, they should call 1-833-419-0141.

Where Do I Vote online tool

This online tool is now live at www.elections.sk.ca/wdiv. It is an easy, online tool where a voter simply enters their home address, clicks search, and the advance voting and by-election day voting place options instantly appear.

Work the by-election

The Athabasca returning office team continues recruiting workers for both advance voting and by-election day. These are all paid jobs with an election day worker earning $230 that day alone, and even more money for working the 5 days of advance voting. All election workers participate in a short training session. Any Athabasca resident who is at least 16 years of age and has lived in Saskatchewan for the past six months is encouraged to apply to work by phoning the Athabasca Returning Office directly at 1-833-678-6460.
