February 5, 2018 – Eligible voters in the constituencies of Kindersley, Melfort and Swift Current are reminded to get on the voters list, or update their voter information, prior to the March 1 by-elections.
“Most electors in these three constituencies are already registered, but if your voter information has changed, if you have recently moved, for example, you can update that information today either online or by calling us,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “Having a current address ensures that your Voter Information Card (VIC) will arrive at your correct residence. The VIC explains where and when to vote in these by-elections, and what ID to bring.”
“For the small number of electors in these constituencies who are not registered, I encourage them to do so before February 20 to get on the voters list. Online or by phone, it just takes a minute.”
To vote in the Kindersley, Melfort or Swift Current by-elections you must:
Voter Information Cards (VICs) will be mailed to all registered voters in Kindersley, Melfort and Swift Current starting February 9. If an eligible voter does not receive a VIC in the mail by February 20, call us at 1-877-958-8683.
Electors who don’t register ahead of time can still vote by registering in-person either during advance voting (February 23 to 27) or on March 1, the last day to vote.
