February 2, 2018 – Provincial by-elections will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the constituencies of Kindersley, Melfort and Swift Current. These electoral events will fill vacancies in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.
“My office has been planning for by-elections in Kindersley and Swift Current since last August, and for a by-election in Melfort since December,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “Over the past few months, we have been hiring senior field leaders, preparing returning offices to open, and completing our pre-event evaluations of polling places. It’s been a busy period, but one of our primary responsibilities as an institution is to always be ready for an electoral event, or in this case, three electoral events.”
